Making Random Waves

LOL so dumb lah the cat! Nicely summarising our Cat & Dog seminar over the weekend! Kill the cat be the dog! HAHAHA I like!

----

So I had a bit of omg-my-life-has-come-to-an-end-lets-cry-my-balls-eye-balls-out moment over the weekend. But thank God for that, I’ve FINALLY put off my procrastinator habit and went for a much needed perm and colour (and then I put it back on again -_-)!

After like, 3 long years. omg I missed those curls T__T! You simply have no idea how my life quality dropped when I did a stupid thing in the name of rebonding T__T I looked like…. nothing. I’ve been reduced to NO.THING and I was a few hundred bucks poorer. And traumatised. And 2D. For one year.

=_='

So the waves are back baby! *big goofy smile*

OK, bimbo talks aside, this blog shall return to its random-self again now that the whole political awareness campaign *ahem* dramatic episode is settling down (I sure hope! Unless some goblok rakyat rep do or say something stupid and make me angwee, I’ll switch mode >( Take this as a warning! *squint eyes wrinkle forehead thump heart*)

I’m so happy for my curls! Now I just need to wash it out a bit to de-tense the curls. Oh curls I love curls! *_*

Next! Sweep-shop all the malls! lol I kid I kid my dear husband! haha

---

-___- my himbo colleague just came and asked me if that shit stain in the toilet was done by me =__________=

----

… ok lah. I really don’t know what “proper post” means already (the random queen has returned. Yay.) Time for shopping work T__T

Ta for now lah.

When In Doubt, Take A Chill Pill (Update)

Just after I’ve blogged the previous post last night from some kopitiam, we reached home just in time to receive 2 SMSes of the same content - that the Perak Sultan had chosen a Chinese MB and that the Pas are protesting violently. Please pray.

I mean, yes lets pray. But hey, chill first, will y’all? This piece of news is not even valid news! So please stop forwarding this sort of SMSes before confirming its authenticity, and create unnecessary scare in people. If you need any sort of reference, you have Malaysiakini and Malaysia Today - both a reliable source, the same I wouldn’t say about our local newspapers though :/ but oh well they are still a source of news, no matter how skewed, so by all means, check with them, too!

Stop instilling fear in the people at sensitive times like this. Instead, give our newly elected representatives some time to sort things out (when you're entrusted with a new project in your company, you'll want your colleagues and bosses to give you time, right?), trust in the wisdom of the states’ rulers, and above all else, have faith in God!

So what lah if Perak puts a Malay MB? If that’s stated in the law, and by doing so will make the people feel better, then so be it!

And so what if Perak puts a Chinese or Indian for an MB? Should the Chinese and Indian community feel more superior over it? Or should our Malay friends feel threatened by it? ? Don’t forget no matter if you’re an MB or DMB or CM or DCM, you are still very much accountable to the people. You’re NOT the boss.

The point here is, as long as one can govern with utmost integrity and take care of the people’s welfare, what difference does our skin colour matter? And besides, have you forgotten why you voted for them in the first place? Because we don’t want to be segregated according to our race anymore! We all want to be a Malaysian in its truest sense for once! So try to ditch that racial mentality already and look at the big picture!

I’m just so mad to see all these hearsays flying around, and to add on to that, our friends in BN and the media are really rubbing it in, showing power, giving their useless 2 cents that intends to spur nothing but unrest and fear in the people, and to make us regret voting for the oppositions. (-_- eh, please lah, we are not stupid ok?)

For one the oppositions are not crazy people that go around bullying the rakyat and eat up small children. They are just everyday, normal family men and women that are passionate about fighting for the people’s right. The difference between us and them is, they put their passion into action and go out to the field and fight. So the least we can do is to discern the rights from the wrongs and give our support wisely!

Ok. I’m getting really naggy. But that’s only because I’m so angry! >(

We’ve come this far since 8th March 2008, let us all keep our heads up, hold our patience high, see and digest news and things maturely, exercise self control, and most importantly, remember your CHILL PILL, DUDE! =)

/shameless caffeine endorsement starts/

Ahhh~ San Francisco Mocha Extreme. Life is good again. <3>

Check out his take on the matter
As of March 12 evening, Perak has made a decision

TAK NAK!

Please take a minute to read this:

(source)
DAP has duped voters, says Ka Chuan

IPOH: The DAP has revealed its “true face” to the people by cooperating with PAS to form the next state government, Perak MCA chief Datuk Ong Ka Chuan said. “All this while, the DAP has been denying that it is working with PAS when they sought the support of the Chinese community in Perak during the campaigning period,” he said.

“After getting their votes, the DAP is doing otherwise,” he said yesterday when commenting on the new ruling coalition government of the DAP, PKR and PAS.

The DAP, he said, should apologise to the voters for having duped them about not working together with PAS when wooing them before the just-concluded polls.

Ong, who is also the MCA secretary-general, said the DAP might even go to the extent of allowing a PAS leader to be the new Mentri Besar.

“How are they going to explain to the Chinese community? The DAP had not been honest right from the start,” he asked.

The DAP should have told the community right from the beginning that they were cooperating with PAS so that the voters would be able to make a wise decision at the ballot box, he said.

“Now the DAP is doing otherwise. I feel sad that the situation has become like this,” he added.

“The people gave the DAP their trust and this is how the DAP is repaying them – by working with an Islamist party,” said the newly-elected Tanjong Malim MP.

Please take another minute to read this:

New Perak MB by end week

The DAP-PKR-PAS coalition has submitted an official list of candidates to Perak Sultan Azlan Shah.

The list was handed over to the Sultan’s secretary at 2pm today by a tripartite
delegation, and the Ruler is expected to make an announcement within the next two days.

At a joint press conference, DAP chairperson Ngeh Khoo Ham confirmed that each party has submitted one name.

They are Ngeh himself who is Sitiawan assemblyperson, Pasir Panjang assemblyperson Mohamad Nizar Jamaludin and PKR’s Behrang assemblyperson Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi.

“All three parties have unanimously agreed that we will fully endorse the Sultan’s
choice,” said Ngeh, speaking for coalition.

He stressed that, irrespective of the Sultan’s choice, the new coalition government will make decisions collectively.

“We therefore call upon party supporters from all three parties to fully support the new menteri besar,” he said

Asked why three names had been submitted - instead of the coalition settling for one
nominee - Ngeh replied that the decision was made based on various aspects of the state constitution.

Complex circumstances

Under the state constitution, the menteri besar has to be a Malay Muslim, but there is a provision that allows the Sultan to waive the requirement.

None of the 18 DAP elected representatives are Malay Muslim, even though the party controls the most number of seats in the new state government.

It is learnt that the three of seven Malay Muslim PKR assemblypersons were ruled out as they are deemed not to have suitable paper qualifications.

This makes Mohamad Nizar, 51, the frontrunner as he has academic credentials and ranks high in the PAS Perak hierarchy.

Observers have noted that the three parties cannot automatically nominate Mohamad Nizar for the post, or the DAP would suffer severe political repercussions.

DAP has vehemently rejected PAS’ conservative religious agenda in favour of a secular ‘Malaysian Malaysia’ and had even left the PAS-PKR Barisan Alternatif coalition in protest in 2001.

In each general election, however, DAP has worked out a seat-distribution formula with PKR to avoid three-corner fights.

I felt angry, disappointed, and to quote Ka Chuan, "duped", by the news when I first read it in The Star. But after understanding the real picture from the 2nd article, I now understand the reasons behind the move.

Same issue, 2 different approaches in reporting. Now you understand why we say mainstream media is one-sided and misleading? And this is only one out of the many, many others being published.

Say "TAK NAK!" to rubbish news! >(

MALAYSIANS, YOU HAVE MADE IT!

THANK YOU! Thank you for believing in your own judgement, for believing in the power of your one vote, for believing in the power of unity, for rising to the occasion and putting your foot down for a change, for not fearing our ministers’ various threats about May 13 and political unrest should we vote them out, for believing in makkal sakthi - people’s power! We’ve made it! YOU have made this possible!!!! THANK YOU MALAYSIANS! THANK YOU *bows*

Like I’m contesting liddat -____-

Anyway! :) I’m so happy!!! And touched T__T 2/3 denied! I can't believe after 50 years! We're finally coming closer to grasping the idea of democracy, albeit slowly. It's gonna be interesting from now on. The country's leader's gonna have to be always on their toes, making sure they do their job, be it oppositions or the ruling party. I'm feeling more like a Chinese Malaysian Malaysian now :)

P/s Let us all be calm and cool amidst all the joy and excitement and not give anyone any reasons to find fault and declare any sort of emergency/martial law/whatyouhave. Don't provoke and be provoked. We've shown them our power, let us also show them our maturity and self-control at all times! This is only the beginning, and it's gonna be a long journey for all! So let us all walk closely and together in this!

EC Chairman Sees Red

(source)
Election Commission head has felt the backlash of a decision against the use of indelible ink - vandals splashed the outside of his house with bright red paint early this morning.

Kesiannya.

LOL

Abdul Rashid also responded to questions on the reversal of the decision.

Malaysiakini: Weren’t you aware of the law?

Abdul Rashid: We were aware of the legal requirements, but we thought that it wasn’t so bad and that we could overcome it. But (it) looks like we can’t. And on advice of the Attorney-General’s Chambers, we decided to cancel it.

You see, we wanted to use the ink. We really did but the legal restrictions prevented us from carrying out our plans.

What about amending the law?

That is for Parliament to do. Now it is too late as Parliament has been dissolved…

But the proposal to use the ink was accepted last July...

It must be scrapped now.

Could your house have been vandalised because people perceive you as biased and because they feel your tenure should not have been extended?

(In a raised voice) Where is my bias? Tell me, in which way have I been biased?

Take for example the issue of media coverage. Some media are helping the party in power and the people (detractors) are pointing their fingers at us. What can we do? This is not under the legal scope of our duties.

Where we are in charge, we are 100 percent perfect. Where we’re not in charge, don’t point fingers at me.

They think it’s good to threaten me. I don’t think it’s necessary. I should not be treated in this manner. I’ve a job to do and I’ve already given my assurance that this election will be very fair.

There are claims of double voting by armed forces personnel...

They have to show evidence of irregularities. And if they have evidence, file an election petition and let the courts decide. So far, no one has come up with any concrete evidence.

What will you do about the indelible ink already purchased?

We will handle that after the election. The secretariat will know what to do.

Will the ink be used in the next elections?

We have to take care of the law first. But that is a policy matter and it’s up the policy makers. The government is aware of this and we’ll see what happens after the elections.

This Is It! Crunch Time!

Tomorrow In one and a half day's time, we'll be out voting *excitingness* and I sure hope you have had your mind made up!

Unlike previous years, we have been casting our votes based on a steady feed from our local mainstream media. Our government has been what they want us to believe they are through the portrayal of the very much controlled media. And kudos! They've done it very well! (Just read our newspapers! I was flipping through yesterday's Star and I was so disgusted, every article is about how great is BN and what a liar is the opposition. The writings are all just so skewed! Sickening)

Well... until now. With the internet, at least more people are aware of the true picture. I hope.

The things which I've been posting over this period of time were not intended to incite hatred or God forbids, to spread rumours! If you would just do your research and read up (from every angle and alternative, not just TV3, TV1 and 2, NTV7, 8TV, and every other controlled form of news), it is not difficult to see the jokes and blatant lies our government is pulling on us.

Earlier on I posted some facts about the amendment of constitution in a couple of countries, namely:

- The USA has been in existence for more than 200 years and their constitution was only amended 27 times.
- Australia has been in existence since 1901 (107 years) and the constitution has only been amended 7 times.

Let's look at our home country. We have just celebrated our 50th anniversary and the Malaysian Constitution has been amended some 690 times.

And out of the many, many reasons they change the constitution, the latest one has got to be my favourite: to extend the EC chairman's contract. *applause*

Have you guys watched any videos when the Parliament is in session? Have you seen how arrogant these rakyat representatives behaved? Shutting the oppositions up whenever they began their speeches? Have you been thrown at with racist and sexist remarks by our representatives as much as the oppositions have endured?

Now, allow me to make clear that I am not endorsing any parties, both current power and the oppositions, far from it. In fact we all know how both sides fare as far as their capability is concerned in running a country.

What I am endorsing is, to exercise our right as a citizen, come out and vote with an informed mind, and deny 2/3. It is with a balance representation from all parties only will the country be checked and grounded, and grow thereon. It is common sense, when the power to be has a 2/3 backing them up, can the remaining 1/3 still object? In fact, there's no need for any kind of debating any longer!

Remember the AG report? A set of 4-screwdriver that costs RM224 amongst other items? What happened now? No news? What about the memorandum calling for a review of laws affecting the right of the non-Muslims submitted by 9 non-Muslim cabinet members to the PM and then kena tendang balik the following day? The many names bloggers were called by the leaders: goblok (that’s equivalent to stupid in Indon), beruk, liars. The rapist cum murderer of little Nurin who is still free at large and Sharlinie’s still missing. And there are so many more cases that were swept under the carpet, out of sight out of mind.

Sometimes, seriously, we really can’t blame the authorities but ourselves. Simply because we appointed them by our votes, when things happened and brought to our attention, we got angry for a while and then we forgot about it, no point bringing it up, no use wan, government can do anything, we can’t fight against them, it’s like that wan lahhhhh. As long as it don’t affect me, I can close one eye, why so kaypoh?

Ever heard of malang tak berbau? Things can just happen to you :)

Yes, I have a job and I'm happy with it, I have a house to stay in albeit renting, I get to drive around in my locally made Wira and be entertained in the cinema, but is that all I really care about? Bread and butter issues? Me, myself, and I only? No! I want to be a proud Malaysian! One who can stand out amidst my foreign friends and speak of my love for this country, for the just government that I've voted for, the government that I can trust my problems to! Now? Now I rather keep my mouth shut on a table of various citizens, lest I’d be asked “Oh Malaysia. So what is happening to your government? Why can’t you get a permit for a peaceful demo? Aren’t you a democratic country?”

Dot dot dot. Sweat.

I’ve been asking myself over and over again. Why should I settle for the 2nd best (like now, gohmen is like that wan, everywhere also the same. I get to survive enough already) when I can determine a first class, just, and professional government with my vote? I just can’t be so short sighted and keep quiet simply because I have all the essentials that promised my basic survival and close one eye to the corruptions around me!

Our Information Minister Zainuddin Maidin told Al Jazeera that we are not Pakistan, not Burma, not Myanmar (aren’t Burma and Myanmar the same? O_o), my question to him is, why are we comparing ourselves, who we claimed to be a much more developed country, to those who are still struggling? Yes, so that we may be thankful that our country is not like others. OK. And then? What’s next? So we should be thankful and just stay there? What about improvements? No need to continue to develop the country already is it since we are better than them? Why not we compare ourselves with say, Singapore, Australia, and the lot? Oh you know, just so that we LEARN, and IMPROVE for real?

You see, if I fear change, then I shall not expect improvement. Unless I deem improvement is useless and want to stay where I am forever, then I should also forever shut my mouth and never ever complain about the sorry state that I'm in in this country! I really hope you share the same sentiments too.

I was watching 10,000BC yesterday. And at the ending, when the lead character D’Leh was trying to convince his people and the many people from other tribes who were enslaved to come together as one and fight the oppression, most everyone felt unsure. They were not happy, obviously, to have their families killed brutally, and be made a slave and build some tower for some mere man who claimed to be the almighty, and to sleep in jails and treated like dirt; but when opportunity arrived for them to make a change, they hesitated, afraid of shaking the boat and causing catastrophic results.

What if the change brings freedom in its truest sense? Ever thought of that?

Politics in Malaysia are far from being dandy and clean, that much you should already know. When you have the power to extend the contract of the EC chairman, do you not think you'll also make use of your power to ensure your winning? A win that is so crucial to ensure a happy pocket? Think about it.

In fact, don't just sit there in front of this post and think! Talk to people, google up facts, dig out newspapers, compare manisfestos vs results, study the track records, in summary, don't let others, like me, to talk you into voting for any party for that matter!

Yes, I’ve said that votes can be manipulated, which is what is happening all the while. (seriously where do you think the phantom votes come from? The dead who came back to vote? Children’s names on the voter’s list, etc, etc, etc.) That said, we still cannot ignore our responsibility as a voter in this country! However dirty the tricks powers can pull, we must first do our part, which is to step out and vote.

Remember, the downfall of any organisations lies in the failures of the leadership. If the leadership of a country is not strong, is selfish, then the country will be weak, you and I in it will suffer. So if you understand how important each and every one of you are as an individual that made up this country is, then please, I urge you, again and again, vote with an informed mind this coming 8th of March; a date that will determine our lives for the next 5 years.

If by now, you’re still reading my rambling here at this point, I’m sure your heart is for Malaysia. But Malaysia doesn’t and will not belong to you unless you make your stand and claim it.

I’m so ready for tomorrow. Saturday!

My Mind Is Wondering…

What are they going to do with RM2.4 million worth of indelible ink? 2.4 million woh! That’s a lot of Nasi Kandar man!

I picked this up yesterday:

(source)
PUTRAJAYA: The use of indelible ink on polling day has been scrapped after police received reports of a plan to “sabotage” the election process in Perlis, Kedah and Kelantan.

(source) / (source)
The Election Commission has cancelled the use of indelible ink for this general election, citing public order and security issues.

Security issues -_- This is a joke through and through! Now they are saying

(source)

Abdul Rashid said the use of indelible ink would not be effective as the country's constitution allows those who refuse to have their fingernail marked with the ink to still be issued with a ballot.

He added that the use of the indelible ink could infringe the constitutional right of a voter to cast his vote, especially if the commission tries to bar someone from voting for having an ink marked in his finger.

"From a practical point of view, the issuance of a ballot paper to such a voter would render the EC's proposal meaningless and will not bring about a positive result, whilst having the potential to create misunderstanding as well as altercations and arguments at polling stations," he said.

Then whose idea is it to use and approve this method in the first place?! Oh here’s more…

He added that the Federal Constitution gives Malaysians the right to vote and a black mark on the fingernail should not bar people from exercising this right, he said. The loophole can only be removed with a constitutional amendment, which requires a vote by parliament, which has been dissolved for elections to take place.

There. See what is the use of our constitution? EC chairman’s contract expiring! Let’s amend constitution to extend his contract! Indelible ink cannot bar people from voting! Let’s amend the constitution! Suka-suka only!

Jokers! A bunch of jokers are running my country!!! Waddup dude?! >(

Oh well, on a lighter note, the phantom voters can now all come out and play! Yay!

That Whole Orgasmic Slurp

Life can be real cruel when it deals you the shittiest project at work. When a seemingly long, never-ending day finally came to an end and you're homeward bound, all you wanted is, really, just a bed.

But when you remember that cup of leftover San Francisco Mocha Extreme needed some loving when you stepped in your house, and you instinctively dragged your aching feet to the fridge and reached into then cold, cold box for it, a smile broke across your tighten facial muscles and you take a long, lusty suck on the chewed straw from the previous night, and suddenly, as if you've gotten a current jolt, you exclaimed "life is good again!!!" and you slumped right onto the couch and let enveloped by the cottony cushion.

Ah yes, life is really good again.

p/s speaking of which, starbucks has got really sexy caramel hot chocolate! Like drinking cookie dough :)

Signing out from starbucks. Ta.
