There's Always A Bye-Bye Somewhere

OK chill. I haven’t turned this blog into some socio political one, neither am I dipping my foot into the politics. It’s the election season and everyone’s digging out their tricks and antics to woo you over to their camp. My job, and I assume yours too, is not to preach which camp is better and which is not, because either way they are equally bad that I’ll leave it to your own good judgement; rather I just want to do my part in spreading the real pictures about the state of our country this time of the year. Maklumlah, our news are so filtered, I don’t see how useful the newspapers are other than to wrap fish. >(

Yeah yeah I noticed what a mean butch beast I’ve turned into but I’m just really angry! For all the blatant lies our so called leaders are feeding us with, and all the threats they so freely throwing at us, and the chemical laced water and tear gasses they so generously shoot us with at anytime they want, even in the presence of children! And they detained an 11- year-old girl who just wanted to present roses to (gargh! I’m really tempted to call him by his net nick!) the PM! Urgh! (I've lost most of the links I want to link up here, malas mau re-research, but you can verify what I'm saying by googling 'em. You'll get plenty of returns.)

And then come election, use (our tax) money, mandarin oranges, and plastic smiles to buy the people’s vote. Oh and suddenly they spearhead nothing but education and education is of utmost importance and hey here’s an allocation of education fund by the thousands (which we’ll never give you if it’s not for GE!), take it to raise up the lil ‘uns. Let’s not even go the house of worships department, if you know what I’m saying!

And you know what’s the best thing? People buy it! People actually buy those candies! I mean, sure, candies are put before your eyes, takkan don’t eat right? But after you suck on them and get all sugar-high, and then what? Nothing but decaying tooth!

Joh! So angry lah! >(((

So angry because I now know the truth. Do you?

My to-do list at work and other commitment is getting a little bit out of hand. There’s 2 types of workers, either they make or break under pressure. If you haven’t notice, I’m of the latter category T_T I’ll need to constantly remind myself and tell myself "ok, leishia, this' not the end of the world; everything can be done under proper planning. So plan." So I’ll sit down and breathe (no kidding) and meditatively take out a pen and my organizer (which will never last more than 4 months before you see papers of all sizes being strewn across the table), and started listing down what needs my attention, and then prioritize them by numbering. On an average good day, my world will only come to an end by the 4th hour.

Sent a baby girl off yesterday. Everyone cried her a river :’(

Hey you,

I don’t know why lah can be so emo even though knowing you’ll be back like in 10 months time or so, and besides, not like we’ve known each other for ages right? But replying your sms in the car also made me cried. I was seriously on a roll =.= But the fact that we haven’t been friends for long doesn’t mean this baby friendship means nothing (to me lah), it’s really an honour for me to have a friend like you, you’re just so…. Gladys! You know, a little ditsy, a little duh, a little girly, a little boyish, but a lot of joy and positive vibes. Thanks for rubbing some off to me :) Take care now and send my regards to your mom (yes! I transcend generations!) and BLOG lah woman please! Zzz.

Are We Getting Things Straight Here?

This is really disturbing…

Search for Sharlinie halted

PETALING JAYA: Police have stopped the house-to-house search for missing girl Sharlinie Mohd Nashar due to the general election but will continue if new leads surface.

The 1,100 police personnel involved in the search have been deployed for the election.

Missing little girls can wait; censored securing seats, positions, and power election cannot wait. You guys sure got your priorities right! *Salute*

Open Your Eyes Big Big

See the statistics! See the figures! See for yourself! YOU, ME, ALL OF US are part of this mess that is our country. This concerns YOU, ME, ALL OF US even if we are not into politics. People, please lah! It just makes me so angry every time people tell us that they “are not into politics,” “we have no choice,” “but the YB so and so came and shook hand with us and gave us oranges woh,” “I don’t care. Let them go fight till cows come home lah. It doesn’t concern me,”

Wtf! Might as well give up your citizenship and move to the jungle. Wait, I think even that also you need to apply for permit to build a humble hut on a small humble piece of land that our greedygohmen claims ownership of. And pay cukai taksiran. T__T

Full article here

So what has 50 years of 2/3 majority given us?
- The Malaysian Constitution has been amended some 690 times. The USA has been in existence for more than 200 years and their constitution was only amended 27 times.

- The Constitution is amended for matters as trivial as extending the term of office of the Elections Commission officers, simply to avoid facing rejection by the Agung.

- Because of the overwhelming power available to the Executive, the Legislature has been reduced to a rubber stamp, the Judiciary has been emasculated and corrupted and the powers of the Agung have been clipped.

- The legal system is a sad joke, serving only further the desires of the ruling clique.

- The Elections Commission serves only to ensure that the ruling clique is returned to power.

In the last election, Barisan Nasional received only 63.8% of the popular votes but has 91% of all parliamentary seats. All due to gerrymandering, phantom votes, voter relocation, voter substitution… there are even suspicions of ballot box stuffing.

UMNO received 35.9% of the popular votes, has 50% of the parliamentary
seats and holds 71% of the ministerial positions. The other members of the
coalition have been reduced to running dogs, wagging their tails and begging for
scraps.

Little Napoleons have been allowed to run rife and the rights of non-Malay, non-Muslim communities have been trampled upon. The Wakil Rakyat do nothing even when constitutional amendments threatening these rights are proposed. It is left to the opposition members to highlight these alarming matters and try to prevent total steamrolling.

Meanwhile, it’s not like the rights of all Malays are really being addressed…

How much more of this can we take? How much more of this should we take?

Change may not necessarily be better.

But without change, it is not possible to become better.

If we want to become better, we must want change.

It is time the 2/3 majority in parliament is dismantled.

We hold that power.

March 8: Have You Registered?

poster taken from get-an-mp

Do you not know, that where a single party, or person, controls 2/3 or more of Parliament, there is no longer any protection from the Constitution? That 2/3 is all that is needed to amend, change, delete the provisions therein, and then it will be the highest law in the land… For there is no one in Parliament who can keep this from
happening, who can help us.

Our YB’s - no matter how responsible/honest/principled/well-meaning
they are (if they are) - they are bound by Party Discipline, they can only
vote along party lines or face severe personal and political repercussions.

They do not dare to speak out. They will not speak out.

And those that do, the few courageous, and the few Oppositions…their small voices are washed out by the sheer number of those that mock, ridicule, ignore, eject, suspend, criticize, judge, sue, imprison - with impunity.

So Tis’ What Birthday Parties Are Like!

/delete/

I’m uploading these birthday pictures from the most happening place in Kajang now – Metro Point’s Kenny Rogers -_- just so people won’t think I’m dead or something. In fact, far from being dead, I’m actually officially old 1 year older (only). And people who are old 1 year older (only) have got more important things to do, yknow... like fighting for world peace and checking any newly formed lines due to ageing. T__T

Anyway, pictures first before KR closes shop and kicks me out!

/delete/

Already kena kicked out =_=

My birthday this year consist of nothing but food. For real.

I’ve been given numerous warnings notices about the time I should wake up.

“Next month/Next week/Tomorrow ok. Wake up at 6am, so that we can get out of the house at 7am”
“So early for what? It’s my birthday! Can't I sleep in?” *sulk*
“For breakfast. I don’t care. 6am.”

Zzzz

But we woke up at 7:30am. Haha! Actually I woke up at 5 ady, but shhhh xD

So I was zoomed to some Palm Garden Hotel with half a dead brain and 2 shut eyes at 7:45am, and was made to eat. T__T Now, I’m a breakfast person, I loveeeee breakfasts, they make me happy. Really happy. But that place’s breakfast a bit cannot make it lah. I almost fell asleep eating it, I made a mental note to ban the place and to make sure Jason complain about their food. But on our way out, the Sales Director and the Sales Manager (?) called (!) and wished me happy birthday. So cannot complain already. -__-

And then after we reached home Jason forced me to go back to sleep, because, "it's your birthday! and you love to sleep. Go dear, go sleep" x_x

By the time I woke up, he said “quick, freshen up! It’s time for lunch!”

Whaaa? O___O

So off we went for lunch T__T

But lunch was good. :D

Food! That's not me, just some random aunty

More food!

Yet more food!

Hey whaddayanoe! Food!

By now I’ve gotten tired of eating (leishia tired of eating! LOLLL).

“Uh, dear I don’t want any dinner can?”
“Har?”
“Uh, dinner. Don’t want.”
*gasp* “Then my deposit no more!”

… reserve table for dinner need deposit wan meh? Drama king -__-

So anyway I got back-up practice and by the time I got out from church at 7pm the sky’s really dark and was drizzling already. Jason came picked me up and mentioned about going to 1U to redeem the 2 dozen Big Apple’s donuts (2 friggin dozens of free empty calories! Whoo hoo!) but the traffic’s so crazy plus it was raining by now (secretly skipping in glee no need go to KL for dinner!). So I suggested to just go for a drink near my mom’s house.

So we drove into Giant (this is seriously like reporting *yawn*) and circled forever to get a parking to no success, and he drove out to the nearby Kopitiam, parked, braced the rain, got into the shop, all soaking wet, as I sat down and made orders, he came back from wash room and said “can we go to your mom’s place first? My stomach very pain! Need to go, here no water” complete with the scrunching forehead diarrhea coming out face. And I wonder why I always ignore him when he says he wants to be an actor. sigh.

So we braced the rain and drove like he’s in labour to get back home and braced the rain to get into the house. Only the house was dark (ok, not so dark, I could see from the door crack there were lights flickering! candles! I knew it! >D)

And then! Tada!

SURPRISE!!!!!! A petals-path lined with tealights and a hired pianist in tux! zomg, so touched can die! Oh btw, the pianist is very much available and extremely talented! Plays frisbee too and loves dogs. Strictly females who adore dogs only need apply. Apply within.

I'm only use to be the one-who-celebrates-for, not the-celebrated-for-one, so I made a beeline into the kitchen due to the shock of the booming birthday song-singing and balloons busting. They made me come out and walk on the petals again. -__-

Ooo! Mud pie! 2 faces! Mud pie! You thinkin wha I'm thinking? >D

Now what? No angpau?

Retarded mug shot.

Look! A cake with my name... hey waitaminute! Where's my name?! :( Is that why I didn't get to even try it? :((

Now, for the finishing touches of our famed Butchered Chocolate Mud Pie...

The gifts (got angpau! can see? :)
And the gift of the day! No one can beat this...

An all-over-face mask cum begger bag! For bad face day or when need extra cash for food.

I was told pulling retarded faces fetch more dough. That's easy for me!

If black eyed peas ever needed another member, I'd win, hands down! Doncha see da hip hop pop aura oozing outta me? Ohmmm Yo!

And finally, the master mind...
The guy who deliberately planned the force-feeding program and the shock party. Thanks so much dear. No, I really mean it!

And his pretty accomplice
Poor Polly was tortured by those heartless people who incidentally, also are the ones who gave me the all-over-face mask cum begger bag. You see the common nature there?

"Come, Polly! Sit! Stand! Roll! Hand! Now watch me eat chicken. Hahahaha"
-_____________- <--- That's Polly's face. They are lucky she's nice. And small.

Actually come to think of it, my dad almost bocor rahsia for them all...

when we were circling the car park @ Giant, my dad called, and wished me happy birthday,

“happy birthday!”
“where’s angpau?”
“you’re supposed to give me angpau! Give you house ady, still want angpau!”
“what house?”
“har? Kelana Inn loh” (that’s how my dad refers to his house. An adult man living in denial -_-)
“Zzzz. That’s your house lah!”
So your friends come already?” (Still gullible of the mistake his making. Tsk)
“My friends come for what?"
“Har?... uh, it’s your birthday mah”

(O_O okok, play cool play cool)

“It’s my birthday, but they come to your house for what?”
“Haiyah! No lah! Your own parents also you never invite to parties, invite your friends for what hor? Hahahah”

-___-

So there! My 28th birthday. Reporting from Studio B. Thank you for watching and do join us again this Sunday at 2pm! Oh shite!!!!! Jason's birthday on Sunday! T__T Ideas anyone?

*Help* yelp

Going E!

If there’s one business I’d like to try my hands on, it’ll be selling beauty and skin care products, or well, maybe clothing and accessories! It’s virtually every girl’s dream if I dare say to have their own dream boutique and mingle with all these goodies 24/7, EVERYDAY!

To be in the middle of these things that you love daily is quite a thrill, but I’m not so sure when it comes to the actual operations. You know, the administration, the accounting, the finances, the legal aspects, the stock-checks, and blah blah blahs *yawn*

Fortunately, there are many solutions out there for future-merchants to kick start their dream, and one of them is the Ashop Commerce’s shopping cart software. With this affordable web-based software, you can create and have your shopping cart up and running in no time!

Now, Ashop Commerce doesn’t stop at just offering you a fully customizable, affordable, and user friendly software, it also promises live tech support and customer service, making sure your path to success is well, a success. :)

You can have a taste of being your own boss now by operating your dream store even before you sign up and commit! Ashop Commerce gives you 10 full days of trial period so that you may get a feel of the whole software before you launch it. I’d say, let’s get started people!

If Only The Clock Would Tick 5 Beats Slower

… then I would've more time to blog. And slack. Zzzz.

I’ve loads of picture to be edited and posted up here! But then [refer to title].
I also have so many things to talk about and to record down here! But then [refer to title].

BUT I had a great time over the past week and things were kicking! Alright, real quick, in point form first! :)

- I watched Game Plan! Madison Pettis is da bomb! I want a daughter like her, with the curls and wit and all. Haha.

- We planned a weekend getaway to… somewhere 5 minutes drive away from home -_- lol It’s Equatorial Hotel! The place where we naively say yes to a lifetime of laundry and dishes! It was bitter sweet walking around the premise again. We reminisced the time we both broke down after the wedding - I in the shower, he along the corridor over the phone with my aunt who helped us a tremendous lot - it was like a huge brick had been lifted up our shoulders, or… maybe it has gotten heavier. Hehe.

Oh along the day we had some stupid you-don’t-love-me-anymore-shriek-kick-tantrum disagreement and he was acting all stern and cold faced and he refused to talk to me, making me feel like stabbing him with the coffee stirrer provided in the room, and then came dinner time, he asked something that made me felt even more like stabbing him with not one, but a dozen of coffee stirrers! Grr.

“What for dinner?”
Then I had to be all jual mahal mah, right? So I said, “Don’t know,” nonchalantly
“We go Metro Kajang lah”

METRO KAJANG?! DID YOU JUST SAY METRO KAJANG???? *flames and sparks and thunders were dancing on my head already chibabom* (oh, Metro Kajang is something like…. erm, Pudu Raya in a small town, a Fajar supermarket in some kampung, except it’s a well, Kajang town, or something to that effect lah)

I couldn’t say no or make noise, because I sedang jual mahal, remember? Nonchalant some more lah T___T

This one “point form” is as good as a blog entry already, so [to be continued] lah! Haha!

- Sungai Gabai waterfalls with the youth on Thursday! Woots! OK, not so woots-y for having to climb the “mountain” to get to the fountain (hey it rhymes!) only to be greeted by a sea of human flooding the river (some were even SHAMPOOING their hair under the waterfalls! Can you believe it?! Gah!) and having to cross a raging river T__T; but woots to the company!

We had a great time! Even for Jason who kept groaning about how he didn’t fit in, age wise. He ended up being the little big boy who kept going on slides tumbling-free-style down the waterfalls and came back with swollen wrists and knees, but hey let’s tumble some more -_-! I later learned that most of the guys got some blue black some where. And they’d all tell me the same thing, and I mean the exact same speech: "ala! No pain no gain mah! You want to have fun sure must hurt yourself wan lah! These are our hero marks”

Yala. You. Hero.

So while waiting for the doctor in the hospital, Jason's arm were put in sling,

Excitedly “eh dear! Look! Sling! It’s my dream to be in a sling or cast since I was young you know! See! Sling!!!!” *giggle*giggle*

=_____='''

- Went to Melaka on the recent weekend and had the famed cendol along Jonker Street! Oh and MY DREAM to wake up at 4 for McD’s was fulfilled! *giggle*giggle*

- Going to the press screening of CLOVERFIELD tomorrow and check out what’s the hype’s all about! I was told I can’t even bring my hand phone in, although my phone is an old, cheap brick Nokia with no camera and Bluetooth, and infrared, and you-name-it-I-don’t-have-it phone. Konon the movie is going to be screened before US does.

- OH. And BY THE WAY, we have decided to move out from Bangi! :D are you feeling my vibe here? Yes? YES? Yes! That means we can keep dogs in our to-be new home! Yay!

Now I Know Why Advertlets Redirected My Blog

Yesterday my number one fan (who else, Jason lah) called me and told me, in a rather nervous voice that the whole morning he’s been trying to load my blog and every single time without fail, after my page was loaded for 1 second, it will be redirected to the advertlets site… or something.

The funny thing was, when I load my own page from my office computer, I wasn’t redirected. So I thought either one of us has screwed ourselves up either with the browser setting (is this even relevant?!) or the ad code (busted! I clicked my own ad! Heh.)

So anyway, after getting Essie to test out and the answer came back the same, that she was redirected to advertlets too. I had no choice but to remove the advertlets’ code (judging by the way I’m earning with advertlets, I’m positive I’ll be able to cash out 5 bucks to buy meself a nice pressie when I celebrate my 100th birthday. Yay.), and the page loaded fine since.

Anyway, I just found out (from Eddie of msb online) that I’m not the only one who’s experiencing the redirecting; almost the whole bloggoland was getting it - turns out blogs are automatically redirected to an empty parking domain as a result of Advertlets' oversight in renewing their domain. It’s soooo good to know I’m not alone and that it wasn’t me who screwed up anything! Pfft!

The worse part, because of the redirecting, Eddie was deducted of his earning with nuffnang because the advertisers didn’t get the promised unique visitors per day. Sucky. I’m just glad I’ve removed mine in time (uh, I hope. Fingers crossed crossed! Samantha of nuffnang please don’t write to me pwease! T__T)

Oh I don’t know. I thought both advertlets and nuffnang were on equal ground when they took off. Look like there’s much damage control for advertlets to do now. Ah well.

Remember, You Were On My Mind When I Tagged You

I’m doing a tag from THE OFFICE now, so that I can blog real stuff from HOME tonight! Because my home is officially connected to the world! … OK, a bit sad case -_-… but what the heck! The whole no-internet-for-1-year-no-life saga is finally over! The dude from streamyx came on Saturday under Jason’s strict order and fixed the whole thing. Turned out, it’s the free modem they gave caused the silent drama. For ONE year =_=.

And the best part is! They are going to rebate us!!! Yes, we’ve been paying faithfully for one year even though we couldn’t, for the life of us, go online/ fix the problem/ be bothered to go fix it. Actually we did. See, Jason went to tmnet shop one day thinking the CDrom to install the dialler is not compatible with our Windows OS because our lappy is running Vista. Then the counter girl, with the most innocent face ever (okok, I’m just assuming since I wasn’t there -_-), asked,

“What is Vista?”

O.o *Flip over and die three times* dying just doesn’t describe the feeling. Seriously. Poking your eyes with a dagger and twist three times is more like it.

What is Vista? WHAT is Vista?!!! WHAT IS VISTA???? =_______=

We saved our breath, walked away, and called a tmnet technician instead.

Oh look! I’m starting my long-winded blogging already! :p So yeah, cut cut cut! Let’s get started with the tag (Jared, this is how we do it dude!) from Cerlyn! She’s super cool, with a super sweet but not overly sweet makes you want to puke voice! I like! My New Year resolution is to imitate the way she talks! xD

10 things found in my bag:
> Hand phone
> Wallet
> Name card holder
> Marley & Me (I’m coming to the end of the book :( Marley’s so old already he’s dying soon T__T)
> Makeup pouch (not like I make up, but the amount of lipsticks in there! Fooh! Can open shop lol oh and eye drop! Very. Important!)
> Pen drive
> Pen and notebook and papers
> Loopy earrings!
> Hair clip(s) and scrunchy
> A digital camera (is going in there soon. No. I’m not kidding! -_-)

10 things found in my purse:
> Money (if it hasn’t run out, that is. Duh. Cos I’m very used to running out of cash and won’t give a damn and Jason has to refill money in there but he’ll take away all my coins T_T man, why he liddat wan. He’s officially appointed the cash-refiller of my wallet! Haha!)
> Endless supplies of receipts (when the appointed cash-refiller hasn’t done his job in cleaning out the receipts. Hmph!)
> All sorts of cards that gives me to-die-for status in the society.
> Tattered tiny picture of us printed out on paper 3 years ago. (My wallet is ACTUALLY a key holder with pockets for cash and coins. So it’s kinda… tiny. In a way…)
> Coins (when Jason doens't take 'em all away T__T)
> …

… it’s really THAT small.

10 favourite things in my room:
This one is a little tough. I practice detachment. Ohmmmmm But we’ll try.

> My clothes, even though I’m still wearing clothes from when I was 22 (slim and slender baby!) and I don’t really like them anymore and wish I can have a whole new wardrobe.
> My side of the bed!
> My pillow!
> The walls! (This is a given cause Jason made his colleagues to come and paint the room with him before I moved in officially! He had ‘em in olive green, one of my favouritest colour, albeit a layer too many. Haha!)
> A chocolate box which I insisted my ex-boss to give me which I’m using to store my accessories junk now.
> The fan (and future air conditioning unit. This has got to be my favourite thing in ANY room for that matter! Don't care lah how spoilt you say I am!)
> My white furniture set.

Obviously I’m running out of things to favourite in my room… so that’s enough for now.

10 things I’ve always wanted to do:
> To fight for species equality for dogs esp in this stupid country where cats are gods and dogs are low. Hmph. own a dog farm
> To do end-seasons shopping in Texas (cos people say it’s really cheap) and Europe like a true blue yuppie but remain dignified and not broke.
> To have a face and not worry about pimples T_T
> Being a girl

… I think I’m really not an ambitious person! I can’t think of anything else to do! T____T

10 things I’m currently into:
> God, for sure. This one here is cliché because almost everyone I know says the same thing. But how can you NOT be into Him after you’ve known Him and tasted His goodness?!
> Empire waist-cut tops
> Cheese
> Eating healthy.
> Uh, bowel movement. (Yeah, yeah I know, gross. But, remember, a good bowel movements make you a happy baby! I’m all about happiness this year!)
> Mika’s happy songs!
> “Everybody smile and wave at Dohny,” says lijen Sleep talking SLEEPING (tis here just to annoy Jason AND lijen! Hahaha)
> Curls! I’m gonna get those and be a real aunty soon! Straight hair’s just totally BORING people! *YAWN*
> Marley & Me
> Being happy!

I was telling myself this morning that something big’s gonna happen today. The thought just came and it stuck through out the whole journey as I drove to office. And then at 5pm, wham bam, something “big” sure happened. And I just can’t thank God enough for that!

It’s tough work, but, hey if that’s the way He’s paved for me, so be it. I’ll *try* to do it without grudges! Hehe. Oh, let’s just say new pay checks are coming in :D

Oh well, here’s wishing all of you a super cool, laugh infused, joy overflow year ahead! I’ll be back blogging more, I hope!

10 Reasons Why My Christmas Was Awesome

Even though no one give me PSP or DS Lite or Digicam or Nokia phone or angpow

/ SanFran staff are so cool! This waiter right, he made me a LARGE frappucino WITH whipped cream even though I use a seriously tattered redemption card, saying, “is large with whipped cream okay? It’s free anyway *wink*” Awww!

/ The same waiter, when clearing up the table for me, gave me a redemption card left behind by other customers (with stamps on ady!)! Yes, yes, I know, I’m a suckah for free caffeine! Thank you Mid Valley SanFran Waiter!

BTW, why oh why you people are so big fan of Setarbug? SanFran’s the way to go peeps! Lemme tell you why SanFran is wayyyy worthy of your hard earned money *business secret shhh* An ice blended in Setarbug is ice plus coffee equals ice blended. An ice blended in SanFran is frozen coffee plus coffee equals ICE BLENDED. It’s a full cup of REAL, 100%, no joke Caffeine peaple!!! Haiks, Setarbug is really overrated.

Le sigh. OK lah, I give chance to those of you who DIDN’T give me Christmas gift. Treat me to SanFran pweaaaaseeeee? T______________T

/ I bought myself “Marley & Me”!!!!! SUPER AWESOME!

/ The Christmas play went on without glitches! Thank God! And every one of you were soooo awesome! Although most of the times I was just standing around and taking up space, but I feel so honoured to be part of the space team! You guys are truly awesome! I’m so proud of you, you, you, you, all of you! (Cis, like I’m so old liddat!) Oh, oh! And Dohny actually said he counted AT LEAST 5 people cried during the play leh!!!! *beams*

/ I watched Powerpuff girls live on stage in Pyramid! HAHAHAHAHA So cool. Jason and I were sitting amongst the erm…. 2 years old and up and cheering like mad. -_- And then this little girl right, she squished past the both of us screaming “Scuse meeeee” -____- Chey, like she very small size! OK lah, smaller size than us, but no other place to walk meh?! Hmhp! At times like this, having a baby in hand is really very, very useful.

/ SaSa’s constant hug spree and telling me I looked “gorgeous” on Christmas day. OK, maybe it’s just the top that I was wearing but hey! Having been walking around with a huge pimple on my forehead and being laughed at for the past 3 days was enough to make me feel anything but nice, hokay! So SaSa, you have no idea how much I appreciated that. T__T *BIG HUGGIE*

/ Jason’s surprise dinner! He cooked! Siap dengan tea lights, music, and food presentation dance. LOLLL That made me laughed silly! Thanks dear! Oh! And he did all the dishes! *hearts* and my grandma upon learning from Jason that he was going to cook me dinner, she was so excited (she actually spoiled the surprise for him by telling me! lol) that she put aside some of the food she cooked for dinner for us to bring home to. Konon to help him save time. LoL.

/ Those little gifts I get! The Yip sibling’s junk food bag. Peiling’s Christmassy handmade bookmarks. Dohny’s half moons black and white magnetic key chains. Essie’s Kisses. LiJen’s *real* kisses (no lah, I don’t want to tarnish your name lah. She only made that smooooch sound close to my cheek only lahhh). Candy canes from someone… I forgot who… sowee.

I really want to personally make or buy some meaningful gifts for you guys or at least wrap nicely, last time I really very semangat wan, and then I aged was too swamped this year that I have no time to sit down and make something nice. Le sigh. And I had to resort to chocolate sticks tied with tiny ribbons. I know, very kiamsiap bit of ribbon because I didn’t have time to go and look for real, cool ribbons. My Christmas gift shopping was done on Christmas eve afternoon so go figure. If you saw a mad woman with frayed hair and clothes running amok in Sunway Pyramid on Monday afternoon, yes, that’s me. =_=

/ The most unimaginable thing happened. I actually got a token in the form of a pay check from my boss! My company! T__T My boss when giving me the check said, “nah, leishia, here’s for you, quickly go bank in for your Christmas shopping!” Can you imagine that?! That coming from a company that doesn’t know the meaning of “bonus” and the word “reward” doesn’t exist in their dictionary! Can you imagine that?! God is really, really wonderful!

/ And the bestest gift of all times - Jesus; born for me, died for me, providing for me, protecting me, blessing me, taking care of me, casting out my fears, walking with me, being mocked at for me, encouraging me on, believing that I can, and loving me. Twas the day He was born for me. Not Santa Clause -_-.

I hope your Christmas kicked super ass too! And that your gift list includes Jesus. Merry Christmas! :)

Die Another Day

I’ve been wanting to kill my blog for the longest time. The time is……….... not now yet. Hehehe.

OK, lame. -_- lol

But seriously, I’ve been contemplating these murderous thoughts on and off. But every time I just have no heart to do it. And today, just as I was about to click the delete button (OK, not so drama lah, I was just thinking to post a good bye note or something. OMG Where’s befrienders??? I’m suicidal! +_+), I saw the stats on nuffnang’s nifty trackie, and I saw the referrals, I saw the statistics, I saw the key word search (really, I’ve got jokers coming to my blog looking for, amongst others, undressed aunties -_____- joh! you can kill me already lah T__T!!!), and it was as if I saw my whole life flashed past in my face. And I thought, hey, let’s press on a little bit more. Just a little bit more.

And so here I am. Pressing on. Writing another post. Contributing a little bit more to the sound pollution of the net, but all for the love of you people, my dearest readers.

… I cannot be anymore lamer, I know!!! x) Ever since making friends with the youth peeps, my lame-o-meter has risen I’ve been using emoticons that I’ve never used in my entire teenage life -_-. But I must say my favourite has got to be these -> -_- and T_T and =.= So frigging old school right?! They paint the perfectest picture, evah!

So yeah, anyway, I digress.

Oh dear! Can you believe the year’s coming to an end?! Like, an END end! This December month is particularly the craziest month ever happened to me. Not like I’m key persons or anything, but man I’m so swamped and pressed, I really don’t know how to cope! X_x

Stress and I just won’t make it together. Really. It usually breaks me more than make me.

First there’s this Christmas musical play *ahem* production thing that really got me sleepless. Like, argh… OK, I’m zipping my mouth. Besides, I wrote the script myself, and I wrote this line: Christmas is not about practices and activities! It’s about Jesus! So all I’m saying is, we are so running short, I is so sked. Period. But then, not like I’m acting or anything. Hehehe. have faith! It’ll be ass-kicking, if not great! Cos I hear these people sing, really, every time no matter how sleepy I am, my goose bumps are sticking up like kena static liddat! And when they sing the Christmas theme song (I’m not telling! You gotta come find out yourself!), I’m reduced to a puddle of tears. So, great job guys! *pats head*ruffles hair*

And then work! WORK! Designer’s taking off 25th onwards; I’m taking off 24th onwards, meaning I need to vomit all my work out by 21st. And hey, lookie! 20th is a public holiday! And today’s what? 18th? And what am I doing? But of course! *flings head backward laugh like a witch* Blogging! Of all the days I have blogger’s block, today it has to be cleared and I must be so chatty! Brilliant, darling, brilliant!

And then Christmas shopping! Yay! Everyone’s pressing the same panic button, and of course I must join the crowd! I haven’t done any sorta Christmas shopping too (except for myself! Phew!) and I think I’m gonna resort to distributing all the free/bought/souveniry key chains sitting at home. La gasp! xD That includes giving one to Jason too. La gasp gasp! HAHAHA

Yesterday morning I was at Mid Valley for the press screening of Atonement (yes, I purposely must mention the term “press screening”! Please lah, that’s one of those little things that make me feel I’ve got the greatest job on earth. T_T so just let me be hokay?), the movie was like…. sooooo sommmbre, and glummmm, and greyyyy! And emmmmo! I was determined I’ve contracted an incurable depression bug by the end of the show.

It was however, a very brilliant piece! Really. It’s just… you gotta be ready to watch this genre of movie. It just pulls you down to emoland if not careful. But, I think I’m interested to read the book. Heh. I think it’s gonna be a very good read. I imagine it to be very well written too! Maybe, one day, I’ll get to it. Books don't come cheap these days. Le sigh.

So anyway after the show, I was wondering around for an hour in the mall all gloomy and… depressed, in hope to find a gift for Jason, because dang! I suddenly realized I didn’t give any thoughts about buying a gift for my husband! -_- Yeah, I kow, terrible right? Joh, so terrible lah! Tsk.

So I walked for an hour, and I couldn’t find anything! And I couldn’t think of anything, because hey, my brain's dead! And I became even more depressed. And then there’s this rebuttal letter which I had to write to a client. I totally hate it! I think I don’t cut it for business lah. Haiks…

See?! What did I tell you about Mondays huh huh huh?!!!

OK, I think I’ve forgotten why I started this post…………..

Oh right!!! Because I’m trying to evade work but I’m in desperate need to act busy =D

Hands Are For Praying

I’m not one who likes to post lyrics of songs, but I’m reminded of one piece by Jewel as I was reading ling’s post. And I thought how true. Our hands are too small to do anything “big”, but they are never too small to pray. God hears.

Will you pray for this land today?

“Hands”
If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
Poverty stole your golden shoes
It didn't steal your laughter
And heartache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn't ever after
We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
I am never broken
In the end only kindness matters
In the end only kindness matters
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
We are never broken
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's mind
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's heart
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's eyes
We are God's hands
We are God's hands

5 Christmas Gift Ideas. No, Seriously.

Oh boy oh boy! Christmas is here reallll soon! I can almost smell the ginger bread and feel the tingling on my nose tip from the frost and snow! Except… there’s no snow in Malaysia. Bummer.

But hey Christmas is here!!! :)

If I am not such a procrastinator, here’s what I’d do for you…

> A bouquet of chocolates! OK, actually I normally use this for birthdays, but who says you can’t enjoy chocolates during Christmas, eh? I love to use those brown papers used to wrap parcels for my bouquet. Just place the chocolates (in wafer sticks shape, bundled up with cellophane) in the middle of a piece of translucent rice paper (or any thin papers, coloured if you like, or none altogether). Spread a large (in proportion with the chocolates) piece of crumpled brown paper underneath the rice paper, and then wrap the chocolate bundle up as you would a bouquet of flowers. Finish off with your choice of ribbon. Tease the corners of the papers for a natural look.

And voila! My favourite gift idea!

> Buy a miniature Christmas tree and dozens of mini cards. Write all your best wishes/ messages on the cards, and then hang them up randomly across the tree. Place the tree in a mini gunny bag filled with coffee beans/M&Ms/Smarties/whatever. And then tie the bag up loosely with ribbon.

And voila! I think it’s cute! And practical too! (the M&Ms!)

> Get a stack of free postcards (those colourful advertisements in the form of postcards you can get from cafés. Uh, they still have those, right? I used to collect them! They are lovely!) So what you do is, you write your Christmas message (make it real Christmassy and long winded hehe) to the intended receiver, only you write it on the postcards; so instead of 1 piece of letter pad worth of words, you probably have say, 10 postcards! After that, you tie them up with yarn/thin gunny rope/ribbon. And that’s how I tackle boys. I mean, my then-boyfriend-now-husband. Of course!

And voila! I think it’s really quaint! I love, love, LOVE receiving letters and parcels!!! PARCELSS!!!! THEY MAKE MY HEART AND STOMACH ALL EXPLOSIVE AND TINGLY AND HAPPYYYY!!!!! :D

> Get 6 plain Christmas baubles (those of “frosty textures”) of a coordinated colour theme (red/gold, gold/silver, etc), and then paint it as you wish with patterns or scribbling that both you and the receiver can identify with; in another word, personalized it. After that, get a wooden wide mouth fruit bowl or basket, create a nest and lace the base with shredded (coordinated) colour papers, and place the baubles on top.

And voila! I think it’s really… erm, Christmassy. It’s simple to make, and meaningful too!

> Here’s my favourite. Adopt a cute puppy (maltese, Labrador, golden retriever, generally all puppies work!), drape a red knitted scarf over her neck.

And voila! I seriously think tis the bestest everest idea ever! *HINT*HINT*HINTTT*

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a great time gift shopping! :D
