Oh Hai!

To start crapping blogging again is tough, seriously. The offline world has shown me such wide-eye wonder that, logging back on is just… fooh! Hard work. Zzz.

Call it what you want, to start the new year, to start the Chinese new year, to update owing to my ahem, readers, myself, or just to make sure there’s a journal somewhere about my life for the sake of my great-grand-children. Ha. Ha. Whatever it is, I’m back! Erm, hopefully lah har.

So, yeah about the update. See, I was holding back from blogging thinking that I’d post and talk about my Cambodia trip first, with pictures, but! The pictures are still with Simmy, and guess what, the trip happened like, in June 2009! :D

Since I can’t talk about the trip, because no pictures (pictures – important, you see!), so I’ll talk about my life! I’ve officially gone on freelance now! So if you have any writing, translating, proofreading gigs, look my way! And of course I’m always on the lookout for new ventures, so I’m open on that front too (feels like I’m coming back here to advertise myself only. Haha. But seriously life can get really boring in between projects -_-)

Other than that, I’m just trying my level best to be a responsible pregger woman. *gasp* Yes lah, pregnant lah, and no, I do not look like an elephant thankyouverymuch. And that also means, you who cares to read this blog, are going to be promoted to be an uncle or an aunty, hoho. I’m like 6.5 months along now, so that’s like 3.5 more months to go! *freaking out!!!*

We’ve yet to buy a single piece of baby furniture, nor a single piece of baby clothing, or any sort of baby related stuff. We are cool like that We just don’t know where to start!!! O_T But slowly lah. Right now, I’m just trying to deal with the fact that no one’s gonna ask me out anymore I’m going to be a mother, a person who is assigned the responsibility to care for another… small thing that breathes *goes crazy x1000*

But hey, a new year, a new journey eh? :]

OK, I think my blogging quota is up already! I can now go reward myself with a can of shandy! >.< what? Baby loves shandy ok! *shifty eyes*inches off*

There's Gotta Be More Than This

Caught in a sturdy cardboard box sealed with layers of duct tape; breaking through the box is achievable but you just can't seem to break free to reach for that piece of promised heaven. You can only see it, floating by again and again, from within the box through that many little peeping holes you made in an attempt to escape. You try and you try. And you try again. In vain.

Exhaustion slowly creeps up from behind like a brawny dark shadow. Every inch adds to the weight on the shoulders, every inch sucks out the little oxygen you have, like a vacuum cleaner gone wrong, contorting the magical curve of a smile, suffocting the life-giving nasal passages.

Do you stop breathing? Or do you breathe harder?

I think I'm on the brink of a vertical slope. I think I'm in for a free fall.

Landed And Off Again!

Just came back from church camp @ Genting! I enjoyed it through and through (the fellowship and the services!)! It was so amazing to dwell in His awesome presence!!! How I wish everyday is a church camp day and I’d get to chill with my friends at all times! Sigh~

But now we are back to reality -__- my reality is an office to report back to, load and load of laundry to be cleaned, deadlines to meet, house to clean (eek!), a class of stubborn tweens to be taught, a naughty puppy’s logistics to settle, and suitcases to be cleared out… only I have to repack again now for I’ll be off to Cambodia!!!!!!!!!!!!! (exclamation marks are added to excite myself =.= I blame the haze for my lack of enthusiasm! Zzz)

Things are moving so fast these days, but at the same time, so slow it annoys the guts outta me! Probably it’s the good times that are going fast and the bad times are just too slow for my liking *grumbles*grumbles* In all things, give thanks to the Lord! :x

Oh well, it’s the usual “les choses de la vie”, no escape.

Well hey, keep in touch through facebook lah! I’m off to make my packing checklists, edit papers, meet deadlines, self-motivate to go see my boss… grr, why can't life just be puppies, coffee, and all things nice! Haiks!

This is our last day. And we were all toasted by then. And red. And itching. And peeling. And in pain!!!!!

He held the rock up so that I get to cross without wetting my pants. And was even in time to pose for a picture.

It's A(nother) Beachy Day

See the amount of liquid we consumed? It was really hot ok! =.= We tahan-ed the weather for the sake of the femes charsiew pau and the femes kopi, and the femes durian, AND THEN, we realized it was Labour Day AND SO the (Tanjung Sepat) village was thronged with human AND car traffic! It was horrible! We ended up leaving early, with no paus, no kopis, no durians. Boo! The above coffee were chosen out of no choice. AND it was diluted! Euw!

The sugar babe atop the cake was so cute loh (faster praise my creative eye in cake decorating!)! Until they twisted his head off, and pulled out the limbs and shared amongst themselves, like lollies. What are the youth of this world becoming?! Haiks.
